Michael Green is the CEO of Athena Security, the leading AI-assisted entryway security company with offices in Jacksonville, FL and Austin, TX. His focus is on helping organizations create safer environments through intelligent weapons detection and layered security solutions. Michael joined Athena Security as President in 2019 and assumed CEO responsibilities in 2022.
Prior to Athena Security, Michael served as CEO of an Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer compliance software company focused on helping financial institutions identify and prevent illicit activity. His experience solving complex “needle in the haystack” detection challenges shaped his approach to modern physical security: combining advanced technology with low-friction user experiences designed to protect people without disrupting operations.
He studied Economics at Harvard University while playing varsity football and was recognized with a “40 Under 40” award by the Cincinnati Business Courier. Michael has lived in California, Texas, Ohio, and Massachusetts and is a dedicated husband and father who enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
